SPACE GASS recently joined forces with StruSoft, the home for highly specialized and exceptional building and construction software businesses globally. StruSoft is majority owned by Vind, a Norwegian based industrial owner company with global reach and an eternal ownership philosophy. With strong backing from both Vind and the StruSoft family, we want to accelerate growth by improving and adding to the functionality of SPACE GASS and by introducing other new products with even better customer support in existing and new geographies, spreading our software to ever growing groups of engineering users.

We have the following positions currently available in our Geelong office.




Chief Executive Officer

This is a new senior role at Space Gass Pty Ltd that involves working alongside the current managing director and other management staff to learn the business and gradually take on responsibility as part of our long term succession plan. Responsibilities are not fixed and are expected to evolve over time as you discover where the most value can be created for the company. The role will be broad and fairly hands-on. You should be flexible and able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time. You will be heavily involved with various important initiatives ranging from new market entries, sales & marketing, strategic planning, product development, business intelligence, partnerships and M&A activities to name a few.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in the following areas:
  • Leadership and business development.
  • Marketing & sales.
  • Experienced engineer.
  • Software business models.
  • Familiarity with SPACE GASS.
The person we are looking for will have the following capabilities:

Experienced Structural Engineer

You will be joining a team of structural engineers and programmers in the further development, promotion and support of SPACE GASS. Some programming skills would be an advantage but not a requirement. You should be flexible and able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time. You will be involved in a wide variety of activities including strategic planning, problem solving, product development, technical support, training, webinars, documentation, tutorials, software testing & QA and liaising with customers to name a few.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in the following areas:
  • Structural engineering degree.
  • 5+ years experience as a practicing structural engineer.
  • A strong grasp of the technical aspects of structural engineering.
  • Experience with SPACE GASS or other similar engineering software.
The person we are looking for will have the following capabilities:
  • Good organizational skills and an eye for detail.
  • A view on the future of structural engineering.
  • An interest in programming or in the mathematical side of structural analysis.
  • Ability to convey engineering concepts to the programming team.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision on long term projects.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent grammar.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to customers.
  • Result oriented with a highly structured, proactive and efficient work style.
